As early as 1963, despite starting out relatively small, the club was affiliated to the Eastern Transvaal Tennis Association (now Gauteng East Tennis Association) and teams were entered into various leagues. During the same year a concerted effort was made by Ronnie Rossouw and Jos Van Der Linde to improve the standard of tennis by importing good players, this greatly increased the number of players and league entries. The numerous wins and certificates attested to the success of this.

In the mid sixties an additional two courts were added to the existing four, necessitated by the tremendous growth in players. Many great friendships were forged through the tennis section and the social event of the year was the Annual Tennis Dance with its cabaret. This unfortunately came to an end in the mid 1990's.

The clubhouse which was initially a wood and iron structure was eventually built by brick in line with the image of the country club. Guy Mitchell joined the committee in the 1990's and set about improving the surrounds by planting magnificent roses and building braai structures along with little thatch shelters.

The section is still active today with now eights courts and various social events on the cards.
